Paul Meyler is a lifestyle and advertising photographer based in London and South-East who specialises in lifestyle photography working for publishers, brands and creative agencies. Paul produces images that are colourful, authentic and engaging - whether working one-to-one, or with a large crew, Paul puts the subject at ease in order to capture a natural image.

“As a professional photographer, as one hand holds my swimming gear, my other hand holds my camera. I like to incorporate these two passions and am currently working on a personal project capturing swimmers at the Parliament Hill Lido, North London. What fascinates me most is when the temperature drops below 12° and this year, during December, the temperature dropped below 6°. During these freezing temperatures, you discover a new breed of swimmer who, like me, seem to get more excited when it drops to these depths. To some, it may seem dangerous or even a little crazy, but every Sunday during the Winter season I will wake up raring to go and ensure my swimming bag has the addition of a flask of hot tea and goggles.

‘We have worked with Paul on numerous occasions for photography projects at the Royal Veterinary College. Paul is great to work with – very punctual, polite, responsive and a perfectionist ensuring he meets our brief each time and perfectly captures the shots we are after.

Paul is always clear with timelines and budget too which really helps with managing the projects and expectations. We look forward to continuing to work together on future projects.’

“Every year we take around 20 stem cell transplant patients to compete in sports at the British Transplant Games. We needed a dynamic photographer to capture action shots from the team, plus a few posed and candid shots too. Paul did a fantastic job – he worked with us on a brief then got stuck straight in the middle of the action and put everyone at ease. The shots Paul took were exactly what we needed. Highly recommended.”
