Wild Swimmer -
As a professional photographer, as one hand holds my swimming gear, my other hand holds my camera. I like to incorporate these two passions and am currently working on a personal project capturing swimmers at the Parliament Hill Lido, North London. What fascinates me most is when the temperature drops below 12° and this year, during December, the temperature dropped below 6°. During these freezing temperatures, you discover a new breed of swimmer who, like me, seem to get more excited when it drops to these depths. To some, it may seem dangerous or even a little crazy, but every Sunday during the Winter season I will wake up raring to go and ensure my swimming bag has the addition of a flask of hot tea and goggles.

DESIGN HOUSE
We’re an independently-owned brand agency, dedicated to delivering engaging, creative solutions that help brands stand out in an increasingly cluttered world.
Brands need to offer a dialogue rather than a monologue, to create a better brand experience. Whether it’s the core identity of a brand, or the way a brand speaks, it can never be separate from the business it symbolises.
To maximise a brand’s potential, you need the ability to tell your story, to any audience, through any channel, whenever you want to. Getting this right provides a considerable advantage over the competition. At Designhouse, we create the assets needed to give you that ‘unfair’ advantage.
Established in 1970, we’re a ‘family’ of creative, like-minded people who, above all, love good design. But we’re also plain-speaking, independent thinkers who will be open and honest about how we think you should approach your communications challenges.

Testimonials
‘We really are incredibly grateful to you for your commitment to EEAST and it has been a pleasure to work with you and see the results of our collaboration in print. Our corporate strategy brochure and the associated publicity featuring the wonderful images that you produced for us have already been well received internally and externally. Your photographic portfolio for EEAST has moved us on considerably in telling our story and the images will continue to be of great value to us in the future.’
Dorothy Hosein, Chief Executive / EAST OF ENGLAND AMBULANCE NHS
‘Paul shot a great set of emotive and powerful images, initially to be used for our annual review and then for other leaflets and marketing materials. He took a brief really well and captured the exact shots we needed. He was great to work with, always delivering images on time.’
Lucy Jackson / NORDOFF ROBBINS
‘Paul was a real find for us. The team at emotive have been working with him for a number of years now. Professional, creative and great value, Paul is our first choice for studio and location stills.’
Chris Edmonds / EMOTIVE
‘Cubitts has worked with Paul to produce photography for our eCommerce and social platforms throughout the last year. We've only had good experiences working with him. Paul is fast, effective and a joy to work with - I'd recommend him without hesitation. We also have a specific aesthetic, and Paul has always been accommodating and flexible to ensure consistency.’
Tom Broughton / Founder, CUBITTS EYEWEAR
‘Paul has done a few photoshoots for us at Parkinson's UK. He's friendly to work with and is fantastic as putting people at ease, but best of all he's great at capturing people with Parkinson's in their day-to-day lives. His photos are bright, candid and really help to bring to life our content and stories.’
Sion Baldwin-Jones / Editor of The Parkinson magazine at PARKINSON’S UK
"Having worked with Paul for several years Kirk Originals believe we have found our photographer of choice for a crisp product shot. Paul has mastered the art of shooting our glasses against a pristine white background and making them appear appealing through his mastery of subtle re-touching.”
Mark Brown / Director KIRK ORIGINALS
' Paul always delivers strong emotive images that are on brief for our Campaigns.I always work with Paul, as his sensitivity and patience, sets the mood on the photoshoots. He makes everyone feel at ease and enjoy the experience. From young children with impairments to tricky briefs, nothing hinders his creativity. He loves a challenge! The photos are always full of warmth and charm, I smile every time I view his rushes!'
Aine Casey / Senior Film Specialist, SCOPE
“We worked with Paul on one of our annual fundraising campaigns and not only did he produce high quality images, he was also an absolute pleasure to work with. He provided his own kit and worked really well with our volunteer models. The campaign is photography-led and has a distinct style, and Paul listened to our brief and produced a suite of amazing photographs that have brought the campaign to life. We would certainly recommend his services.”
